## Set Security Protocols for Your Enhanced Chat Deployment

[Set up the self-service employee portal](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.it_srvcs_portal_setup.htm&type=5&language=en_US) to embed the Enhanced Chat messaging component.

1. Make sure that User Verification is enabled for your messaging channel.
    1. From Setup, go to **Messaging Settings**.
    2. Edit your Messaging Channel.

The Salesforce Go setup for IT Service creates a messaging channel named IT Employee Agent Channel.
    3. Select **Add User Verification** and save your changes.
2. Add security to your site by completing the CORS allowlist steps required to [configure an Enhanced Web Chat Deployment in an Experience Builder site](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.miaw_deployment_experience_builder.htm&type=5&language=en_US).
3. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Trusted URLs, and then select **Trusted URLs**.
4. Select **New Trusted URLs** and add the URLs that you added to the CORS allowlist.
5. In the Quick Find box, enter Sites, and then select **Sites** under Sites and Domains.
6. If this is the first time you're configuring the settings for Sites, accept the terms of use.
7. Select the site created specifically for your messaging deployment.
8. Under Trusted Domains for Inline Frames, select **Add Domain**.
9. Add the same URLs you added to the CORS allowlist.

## Configure the Embedded Messaging Component for the Portal

1. Find the scrt2URL.
    1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, search for and select **Embedded Service Deployments**.
    2. Find the Embedded Service deployment for your Messaging Service channel.

The Salesforce Go setup for IT Service creates an Embedded Service Deployment called ItEmpAgentChannel.
    3. Select **Install Code Snippet**.
    4. Find and copy the value for the scrt2URL from the chat code snippet and paste it in a text file.
2. Construct the bootstrap URL.

    1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter All Sites, and then select **All Sites** under Digital Experiences.
    2. Find the automatically created site for your enhanced web chat deployment and copy the URL.
    3. Paste the URL that you copied for your enhanced web chat deployment in a text file and add /assets/js/bootstrap.min.js to the end.

For example, if the URL for the enhanced web chat deployment was xyz.com, the final URL will be xyz.com/assets/js/bootstrap.min.js
3. Add the embedded messaging component on your employee portal.
    1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, search for and select **All Sites**.
    2. Click **Builder**.
    3. Drag the **Embedded Messaging** component from the Experience Builder Components list to the portal footer.
    4. Select your embedded web deployment in Embedded Messaging configuration panel.

        Select

**ItEmpAgentChannel** to use the web deployment created by Salesforce Go.
    5. Check **Add credential-based user verification**.
4. In Experience Builder Settings, click **Security & Privacy**.
5. Change the security level from Script CSP to **Relaxed CSP**.
6. Turn off **Lightning Web Security**.
7. Add the scrt2URL and the bootstrap URLs you noted earlier in a text file to the Trusted Sites for Scripts section.
8. Publish the changes.

## Publish the Messaging Channel

After making any changes to the embedded messaging deployment, publish the messaging channel to reflect those changes.

1. From Setup, go to **Embedded Service Deployments**.
2. Open the Embedded Service Deployment for Enhanced Chat.
3. Click **Publish**.

After you publish the messaging channel, complete the employee access steps in [Give Users Access to Enhanced Chat](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.it_srvcs_embedded_msgng_permissions.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Give employees access to the IT Service Employee Agent and prepare IT support reps to receive Enhanced Chat conversations transferred from the agent.") so that employees can use the IT Service Employee Agent in Enhanced Chat.
