# Complete Remediation Tasks for a Compliance Issue

Execute the action plan associated with a compliance issue by completing each remediation task and uploading supporting files. As the resolver, you're responsible for working through each task on the action plan and providing evidence that the compliance gap has been addressed. Once all tasks are complete, move the issue to Review status so the issue owner can validate your work.

Note This task assumes the Compliance Issue already has an Action Plan attached. To create an Action Plan, see [Create an Action Plan for a Compliance Issue for IT Compliance](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.it_srvcs_cmpl_remediate_issue.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "When a compliance issue is logged and mapped to its source such as a failed control, an open risk, a policy, or an audit, create an Action Plan using a template, and associate it with an issue to organize the remediation work into assignable tasks.").

1. From the App Launcher, find and select **IT Compliance**.
2. Select **Compliance Issues** from the navigation menu.
3. Open the Compliance Issue record you are assigned to resolve.
4. Click **Mark Issue Status as Complete** to move the issue to **Remediation in Progress**.
5. Click the **Tasks** tab, and open a task from the **Action Plans** related list.
6. If the task requires evidence, upload your supporting evidence, such as audit logs, system reports, or policy documents, from the **Files** related list on the task record.
7. Click **Mark Complete** on the task.
8. Repeat the previous two steps for each remaining task on the action plan.
9. Return to the Compliance Issue and click **Mark Issue Status as Complete** to move the issue to **Review**.

The issue is now ready for the issue owner to validate your work.

The issue owner will review your completed tasks and evidence. If everything meets compliance requirements, they'll close the issue. If additional work is needed, they'll move the issue back to Remediation in Progress. See [Review and Close a Compliance Issue](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.it_srvcs_cmpl_close_issue.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "As an issue owner, you're responsible for confirming that the resolver's work meets compliance requirements. Review the completed tasks and evidence, then either close the issue or move it again to the open state for additional work.") for the validation workflow.
