1. From the App Launcher, find and select **Compliance Policies**.
2. Open the published or active policy version for which you want to send a communication.
3. Navigate to the **Policy Communications** tab and click **New**.
4. Enter the campaign details, including name, and start and end dates.
5. Select whether to send the policy to specific **Users** or **Groups**, then select your recipients.
6. Save your changes.

The communication record is created in the draft status.
7. To distribute the policy and send notifications to recipients, click **Activate**.

Activating the campaign triggers a notification in the Employee Service Portal, where recipients can read and acknowledge the document.

To monitor recipient acknowledgment progress after activation, see [Track Employee Policy Acknowledgments](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.it_srvcs_cmpl_track_policy_comm_acknowledgments.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Monitor the progress of your policy communication campaigns to verify organizational compliance and support audit readiness.
