# Billing Considerations for CMDB Enterprise

Salesforce meters active enterprise configuration items using a rolling activity window and reflects peak usage in Digital Wallet.

### Required Editions

Salesforce calculates enterprise CI usage using the MAX aggregation method. MAX aggregation reflects the highest number of active enterprise configuration items recorded in a month. Digital Wallet displays enterprise CI consumption under the CMDB Enterprise usage type. You can use Digital Wallet to:

- View active enterprise CI counts
- Monitor peak usage
- Track usage trends

Note Service Cloud's Billing and Metering service processes billing events from CMDB and sends them to Digital Wallet.
