1. Get the [Service for Slack app](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.set_up_swarming.htm&type=5&language=en_US).
2. Start a swarm [from the record in Salesforce](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.swarming_in_lex.htm&type=5&language=en_US) or [from a channel in Slack](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=slack.slack_channel_swarming.htm&type=5&language=en_US).
3. [Add members to the swarm](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.add_members_swarm.htm&type=5&language=en_US) in Salesforce. Users are also added to Salesforce as a swarm member whenever a new member is added to a Slack channel created for swarming.
4. When the collaboration is over, [finish the swarm](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.finish_swarming.htm&language=en_US).
