# Enable Broadcast Alerts

Enable broadcast alerts to let incident managers send disruptive in-app notifications when an incident occurs.

### Required Editions

<table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small edition"><colgroup><col></colgroup><tbody><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;"><a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.service_editions_reference.htm&amp;language=en_US" target="_blank">View supported editions</a>.</td></tr></tbody></table>

1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Customer Service Incident Management, and then click **Customer Service Incident Management**.
2. From the Broadcast Settings tab, enable Broadcast Alert.

After broadcast alerts are enabled, add the Incident Alerts widget if using a custom app, [optionally create or manage your groups](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.user_groups.htm&type=5&language=en_US), create one or more broadcast topics, and assign them to groups. Then, give users access to Broadcast Communications.
