Review common questions about the Unified Employee License (UEL), including its purpose, supported capabilities, prerequisites, troubleshooting, and how it works with HR Service.

- **Why are the Employee user settings not visible in my org?**
    
    To view the Employee user settings in your org, [enable the Reports To Field on Person account.](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.es_configure_the_reports_to_field_on_person_account.htm&language=en_US)
- **Why is the People tab missing or not visible in my App Launcher?**
    
    The People tab relies on Salesforce Chatter functionality. Ensure that Chatter is enabled in your organization's settings for the tab to appear.
- **Do UEL users need a KnowledgeUser add-on to read Knowledge articles?**
    
    No, UEL users can read Knowledge articles without a KnowledgeUser add-on license, provided they have the following two permissions enabled at their profile level: Allow View Knowledge, Knowledge: Read.
- **Are custom objects supported with the Unified Employee License (UEL)?**
    
    No. The Unified Employee License doesn't include access to custom objects. To give employees access to custom objects, assign them a Lightning Platform Starter or Lightning Platform Plus license.
