Configure the dependencies that each HR Agentforce asset needs before you activate it. Most assets use connector authentication, Service Catalog Item setup, or both, plus a few asset-specific variables.
Required Editions
Every HR Agentforce asset except the Confidential Case Management subagent depends on one or both of these setup procedures, in any order. Complete the procedures that the asset table names, and then set any asset-specific variables.
Connector authentication
Authenticate the connector in the asset's autolaunch flow.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Flows, and then select Flows.
- Open the prebuilt autolaunched flow for your asset.
- Select Save As to create a flow version.
- In the Set Input Values element, enter your connector credentials.
- Save and activate the flow.
Service Catalog Item setup
Set up a Service Catalog Item (SCI) for each non-Get action, such as a Create, Submit, Change, or Swap action.
- In Unified Catalog, create the SCI from its item template if it doesn't exist.
- Copy the Service Process ID from the item's URL (for example,
01tSB000008sq9tYAA). - In the agent instructions, replace the
<service_process_id>placeholder with this ID in every instruction chunk, at the subagent level or action level, that references the SCI. - If an asset has multiple actions that map to different SCIs, repeat these steps for each action. Match each placeholder to the Service Process ID of its own SCI.

HR Service Agent: Confidential Case Management
Subagent: HR Service Confidential Case Management
Actions: HR Service Get Object Picklist Values, HR Service Create Confidential Complaint
This subagent captures sensitive reports, such as harassment, violence, bias, or offensive language, and routes them to authorized specialists instead of blocking them with the standard content guardrails. Instead of connector authentication or Service Catalog Item setup, this subagent uses custom subagent configuration and a confidential case flow. To set it up:
- Subagent override: To handle company-specific keywords or unusual reporting scenarios, override the default subagent with custom instructions. Custom instructions help the agent interpret workplace nuances and route confidential reports that standard guardrails otherwise block.
- API Name: If you override or recreate this subagent, set the API Name to
inappropriate_content. This identifier lets the subagent capture sensitive reports that the standard content guardrails otherwise block. - Scope field: In the Scope field, paste the categories to capture, such as violence, harassment, bias, or offensive language, so the agent identifies the correct triggers.
- Confidential case flow: Configure the instructions to start the confidential case flow when the subagent is triggered.
- Required actions: Manually add two actions: HR Service Get Object Picklist Values, to categorize the issue, and Create Confidential Case, to route the report to authorized specialists.
- Escalation to a human specialist: To route confidential conversations to a human specialist, override your standard escalation flow, or merge the logic from the Escalate Confidential Complaint flow into your existing configuration.
