# Start Populating Data for Enhanced Scheduling and Optimization Insights

The Start Populating Data toggle in Salesforce Go turns on lifecycle tracking to capture historical service appointment changes in Enhanced Scheduling and Optimization Insights.

## Turn On Lifecycle Tracking

You can activate lifecycle tracking through the guided setup or manually in settings:

- Salesforce Go: Navigate to the **Enhanced Scheduling and Optimization** section, and switch the **Start Populating Data** toggle to **On**.
- Field Service Settings: In Setup, go to **Field Service Settings**, and select **Track the lifecycle of service appointments**.

## How It Works in Enhanced Scheduling and Optimization

Data collection begins immediately upon activation, ensuring all future changes are logged for analysis.
