# Asset Downtime Period Fields

Asset downtime represents a period during which an asset isn’t able to perform as expected. Downtime periods include planned activities, such as maintenance, and unplanned events, such as mechanical breakdown. Asset Downtime Periods have the following fields. Some fields may not be visible or editable depending on your page layout and field-level security settings.

### Required Editions
