Note If you selected to allow guest users as part of the Salesforce Go setup, all of these steps are already completed and you can skip to [connecting the agent to your messaging channel](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.fs_agentforce_autonomous_scheduling_customer_initiated_setup_messaging_channel_studio.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Now that you’ve created your agent, you’re ready to connect it to your messaging channel."). If you’re building this agent manually, follow these steps.

1. Enable guest users from Agentforce Builder.
    1. From the App Launcher, find and select **Agentforce Studio**, and then click **Agents**.
    2. Open the agent that you created.
    3. In the Script mode in Agentforce Builder, search for this phrase:

        enableGuestUser: mutable boolean = False
    4. Set the value to True.
2. Add the required permissions. See [Object and Field Permissions](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.fs_agentforce_autonomous_scheduling_perms_studio.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Create and assign permissions to users.") for Customer-Initiated Scheduling.

Note The guest user functionality is affected by the org’s [Standard Contact Matching Rule](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sales.matching_rules_standard_contact_rule.htm&type=5&language=en_US), which prevents creating two contact records with the same first name and last name. If you want to allow this behavior, modify the rule. See [Standard Contact Duplicate Rule](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sales.duplicate_rules_standard_contact_rule.htm&type=5&language=en_US).
