# Review Default Settings for Assets

Start your field service implementation by understanding the default, out-of-the-box logic that drives assets.

## Asset Creation

Provide accurate and efficient support by tracking customer equipment and its lifecycle.

| Update Technician/Dispatcher Perm Sets | Modifies Permission Sets to grant Read/Create/Edit access on the Asset object. |
| Grant FLS on standard Asset fields | Grants Read/Edit Field Level Security (FLS) for standard fields. |
| Clone and update Asset page layout | Creates and modifies a specific page layout for the Asset object. |
| Create/Activate Asset Lightning record page | Assigns the Asset Lightning Record Page as the default for the Console app. |
| Create site survey flow | Creates a new Flow for performing site surveys related to assets. |
| Create Asset report | Creates a custom Report on the Asset object, grouped by Account and Location. |

Configuration Actions Taken:

- Update Field Service Technician and Dispatcher permission sets.
- Grant read and edit access on all standard Asset fields.
- Clone and update the Asset page layout.
