# Review Default Settings for Accounts and Contacts

Start your field service implementation by understanding the default, out-of-the-box logic that drives customers, accounts, and contacts.

Manage the who and where for your assets with accounts and contacts on your team to deliver the right service every time.

 
| Deployment Step | Description of Step (Object/Perms/Config) |
| --- | --- |
| Clone Account page layout for Field Service | Creates a new page layout specifically for the Account object. |
| Update Account page layout | Modifies the newly cloned Account page layout to include relevant Field Service fields/components. |
| Set Account Lightning record page as default | Assigns the specific Account Lightning Record Page as the default view for the Field Service Console application. |
| Clone/Update Contact and Location layouts | Creates and modifies specific layouts for Contact and Location objects. |
| Create 'Work Orders with Accounts' report | Creates a custom Report Type to join Work Order and Account data. |

Configuration Actions Taken:

- Clone Account, Contact, and Location page layouts for Field Service.
- Update the cloned layouts to include relevant fields and components.
- Set Lightning record pages for Account, Contact, and Location as the default for the Field Service Console App.
- Create "Work Orders with Accounts" report and report type.
