# Install the Base Data Kit

Set up your data kit components to access Customer Signals Intelligence features. The base data kit automatically installs the essential data mappings and object relationships.

### Required Editions

Make sure you’ve [provided required permissions](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.csi_update_vad_perms.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "To ingest objects and fields into Data 360, update the Data Cloud Connector permission set in your org .") for objects in the Salesforce Data Connector permission set.

1. From Setup, use Quick Find to go to Customer Signals Intelligence.
2. Under Set Up the Basics, in Install the Data Kit, click **Install**.
