# Display the Agent Console

You can start using the Agent console after your administrator has set it up.

### Required Editions

Note For more details about setting up the Agent console, see [Set Up the Agent Console](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.console_setup.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "You can quickly set up the Agent console so that users have all the information they need on one screen when working with Salesforce.").

To display the Agent console, click the Console tab. To exit the console, select any tab.

If the selected list view doesn't contain any records, no data displays in the console.

Note You can only access the Agent console if your administrator has assigned your user profile to a console layout and granted you access to the Console tab. You can customize your display to make the Console tab visible in your tab sets.
