# Asynchronous Messaging Components

Asynchronous components include the authentication, form, and payment components. Customers don’t have to respond to these components right away in a bot conversation.

### Required Editions

<table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small edition"><colgroup><col></colgroup><tbody><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;"><a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.einstein_service_intro.htm&amp;language=en_US" target="_blank">View supported editions</a> for Einstein Bots.</td></tr><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;"><a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.messaging_editions.htm&amp;language=en_US" target="_blank">View supported editions</a> for Messaging.</td></tr></tbody></table>

Asynchronous messaging components include the authentication, form, and payment messaging components. They’re indicated by the ![Async icon](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-service-support_intelligence-264-0-0-production-enus/dcd06a7b-b5ab-448b-a767-4e2e90481508/support_intelligence/images/bots/bots_async_icon.png) icon on the dialog step on the Bot Builder canvas.

Unlike other messaging components, when a bot sends an asynchronous component, the customer doesn’t have to respond to it to continue the conversation. They can return to the component and respond anytime before it times out, or they can end the conversation without responding.

- **[Best Practices for Asynchronous Components](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.bots_service_enhanced_async_best_practices.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Customers don’t have to respond to asynchronous components right away. When you add an asynchronous component to a bot conversation, carefully consider your conversation design to gracefully handle errors and changes in context.
- **[Send a Secure Form from an Enhanced Bot](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.bots_service_enhanced_async_form.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Use the form messaging component to collect customer information quickly and securely in enhanced Apple Messages for Business or Enhanced Chat channels.
- **[Authenticate a Customer with an Enhanced Bot](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.bots_service_enhanced_async_auth.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Use the authentication messaging component to verify a customer’s identity using single sign-on in enhanced Apple Messages for Business channels. You can authenticate users with one of Salesforce’s standard authentication providers, such as Google, Salesforce, and Facebook. Or you can create a custom authentication provider.
- **[Request a Payment with an Enhanced Bot](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.bots_service_enhanced_async_payment.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Use the payment messaging component to request and process payments from customers in enhanced Apple Messages for Business channels.
