- **[Visualize Territories with a Heat Map](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sales.territory_planning_design_heat_maps.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
See how your territories align with an attribute that’s relevant to your planning efforts in Territory Planning. For example, select annual revenue for Salesforce accounts or order volumes that you import from proprietary or third-party systems. Heat maps give visual indications for where you can bolster or reduce coverage so that you meet and beat sales and service goals.
- **[Identify Themes with a Choropleth Map](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sales.territory_planning_design_choropleth_maps.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Differentiate boundaries by color based on the density of attributes that you choose in Territory Planning. For example, identify areas that have concentrations of accounts with higher annual revenue. Choropleth maps give you insight into areas that can benefit the most from the products and services that you offer.
- **[Overlay Geographical Boundaries on the Map](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sales.territory_planning_design_boundary.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Slice territories into the boundaries of your choice in Territory Planning. For example, add boundaries that help you work within specific counties, census tracts, or postal codes.
- **[Compare Boundaries in One Alignment with Another](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sales.territory_planning_design_alignment_overlays.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Identify differences in boundary lines between the alignment you’re working on and another that you overlay in Territory Planning. Alignment overlays help you plan territories that complement sales and service efforts among multiple divisions in your company.
