# API Reports and Salesforce Spiff Reporting API

Integrate Salesforce Spiff commission data with other systems, such as automated payroll or analytics tools. Create a custom report that's accessible by Salesforce Spiff Reporting API endpoints, which you can use to export and download the report for use with other systems. To get started, set up the report in Spiff, generate a Client ID and Client Secret for API access, and generate an OAuth 2.0 bearer token with those credentials.

### Required Editions

<table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small edition"><colgroup><col></colgroup><tbody><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: both Salesforce Classic (not available in all orgs) and Lightning Experience</td></tr><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: <strong>Enterprise</strong>, <strong>Unlimited</strong>, and <strong>Developer</strong> Editions</td></tr><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available for an additional cost in: <strong>Professional</strong> Edition with Web Services API Enabled</td></tr></tbody></table>

Note API export requests aren't available while Spiff is calculating statements or preparing report data for export. To check availability programmatically, call GET /api/v1/reports/export/readiness. The Reporting Export Status Indicator on the Reporting tab shows the same status for users working in the UI.
