## Syntax

```
name(reference)
```

## Arguments

| Argument | Required? | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| reference | Required | The item to identify. |

## Considerations

- If the referenced name changes, this function reflects the updated name.
- In a worksheet, use this function to reference another cell so that you don't have to manually maintain every reference that changes.

## Example

Show the name of a RenewalARRInPeriod calculation in a worksheet cell.

```
=name(RenewalARRInPeriod)
```
