# Add Trusted IP Ranges to the OAuth User’s Profile

If your org enforces IP restrictions, add the trusted IP ranges to the OAuth user’s profile so that your org can reach the backend services required by Salesforce Maps products and Sales Planning.

### Required Editions

<table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small edition"><colgroup><col></colgroup><tbody><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;"><a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sales.salesforce_maps_editions.htm&amp;release=264.0.0&amp;type=5" title="Identify supported Salesforce editions, user interfaces, and product areas.">View supported editions</a>.</td></tr></tbody></table>

Your org processes all communication with backend services through the OAuth user. If your org enforces IP restrictions, add the trusted IP ranges to that user’s profile so that your org can reach the backend services required by Salesforce Maps products and Sales Planning.

By default, the SPM Packages connected app is installed with the **IP Relaxation** setting set to **Enforce IP Restrictions**. When a profile has login IP ranges, your org allows access to backend services only for the trusted IP ranges in this topic. To manage connected apps, see [Manage a Connected App](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.connected_app_manage_additional_settings.htm&type=5&language=en_US).

Note These IP ranges are dynamic and can change at any time.

1. Identify the OAuth user.

    - For the Salesforce Maps package, including Territory Planning, see [Designate an OAuth User for Data Processing and Optimizations](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sales.territory_planning_prepare_access.htm&type=5&language=en_US).
    - For Salesforce Maps Advanced, see [Designate an OAuth User for Route Optimizations](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sales.salesforce_maps_adv_prepare_access.htm&type=5&language=en_US).
    - For the Sales Planning package, see [Designate an OAuth User](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sales.sales_planning_setup_prepare_oauth_designation.htm&type=5&language=en_US).
2. On the OAuth user’s profile, update the login IP ranges to include the trusted IP ranges for your org’s region.

For instructions, see [Restrict Login IP Ranges](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.login_ip_ranges.htm&type=5&language=en_US). To find where your org is located, see [Determine Where Your Salesforce Org Is Hosted](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=000396845&type=1&language=en_US).

Note If the OAuth user’s profile doesn’t list any login IP ranges, skip this step.
