# Configure Buttons and Actions in Salesforce Maps

Control which actions users can perform by creating a button set. Assign different sets to different permission groups. You can also create custom actions that open web pages, load Lightning web components, or trigger flows directly from a map marker.

Button sets and custom actions work together: create the actions you need, and then group them into a button set that you assign to a permission group.
