Important For more detailed information about creating role-based access for Data 360 objects, see [Create a Record-Level Policy in Data Cloud](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_create_rls_policy.html&language=en_US) .

- **[Row-Level Security Example Based on Record Ownership](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sales.sales_insights_record_ownership.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
This policy ensures that a user can only view records (for example, Opportunities) that they’re explicitly designated as the owner of.
- **[Row-Level Security Example Based on Role Hierarchy](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sales.sales_insights_role_hierarchy.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
This policy leverages the Salesforce Role Hierarchy to allow managers/supervisors to view not only their own records but also the records belonging to their subordinates. This capability uses the specialized hierarchy operator in Data 360.
- **[Row-Level Security Example Based on Manager Hierarchy](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sales.sales_insights_manager_hierarchy.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
This policy is used in organizations where reporting structure is managed by a specific Manager field rather than the formal Role Hierarchy. This also relies on the specialized hierarchy operator.
