# Considerations for Creating Quote PDFs

Before you create quote PDFs, consider a few key points.

### Required Editions

<table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small edition"><colgroup><col></colgroup><tbody><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: Salesforce Classic and Lightning Experience</td></tr><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: <strong>Performance</strong> and <strong>Developer</strong> Editions</td></tr><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">In Sales, also available in: <strong>Professional</strong>, <strong>Enterprise</strong>, and <strong>Unlimited</strong> Editions</td></tr></tbody></table>

- Quote PDFs don’t support right-to-left languages. The text aligns to the left side of the page instead of the right.
- Text fields in a related list in a quote PDF are truncated to fewer than 256 characters. This limit occurs on rich text area fields, other types of text fields, standard fields, and custom fields.
- Your Salesforce admin determines which status is the default for new quotes and which statuses allow you to email a quote PDF. For example, your admin can prevent you from emailing a quote whose status is In Review.
- In Lightning Experience, the Save and Email Quote button shows on quote PDFs only if the Email Quote button is already on the quote page layout.
