Important Starting in Summer ’25, data from Activity Metrics and Activity 360 Reporting isn’t available in Pipeline Inspection unless previously set up. This change affects the counts of activities by type in Activity Timeline and the Who’s Involved feature. If you’re already using Activity Metrics and Activity 360 Reporting data in Pipeline Inspection, you can continue to do so until these Einstein Activity Capture reporting tools are retired. See [Einstein Activity Capture Activity 360 Reporting, Activity Metrics, Activities Dashboard Upcoming Retirement](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=004633781&type=1&language=en_US).

1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Pipeline Inspection, and then select **Pipeline Inspection Setup**.
2. Turn on Pipeline Inspection.
3. Verify that historical trending is enabled and configured for opportunities.

The fields required for Pipeline Inspection features are trended by default, including the Next Step field.
4. Add the Pipeline Inspection button to the Opportunities list view.

Note When you turn on Pipeline Inspection, historical trending is turned on for opportunities if it’s not already on. If you use a custom field to summarize your metrics, set up that field in historical trending too.

After you turn on Pipeline Inspection, give your users access to it. Users with the Standard User or System Administrator profile get access automatically.").
