Review important considerations before setting up a sales methodology.

## General Considerations

- Decide which methodology to use. You can activate only one methodology at a time, so choose the one that fits your business needs. You can customize a pre-built methodology template, or create your own.
- Review your existing opportunity data. Activating the feature adds a methodology and its criteria to all opportunities in Pipeline Inspection.
- Align your sales team on scoring standards. Sales reps must understand how to score based on the criteria (low, medium, high) before you turn it on.
- If you turn on Pipeline Management to get sales methodology suggestions, [set the Sales Management Agent User as the Default Workflow User](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.workflow_defaultuser.htm&language=en_US) so that the associated flows can run correctly.
