## Configure the Last Path Step

1. From the Object Manager, go to the management settings for the object that your path is based on and select **Fields and Relationships**.
2. Select the field your path is based on.
3. Find the list of picklist values for the field. For each picklist value that represents completion of the path, verify that the field attribute indicates a closed or completed status.

For most objects, the last step represents a closed stage or status. The field attributes indicating closed or completed status vary by object and field. Here are some examples.

    | Object | Field | Action |
    | --- | --- | --- |
    | Opportunity | Stage | Select a Type of Closed/Won or Closed/Lost. |
    | Case | Status | Select the Closed option. |
    | Work Order or Work Order Line Item | Status | Select a Status Category of Canceled, Cannot Complete, Completed, or Closed. |
4. Click **Save**.

## Add the Path to the Lightning Record Page

1. Go to a record for the object your path is based on.
2. From Setup, select **Edit Page**.
3. In the search box, enter Path.
4. Drag the Path component onto the record page.
5. Click **Save**.
6. To activate the page, click **Activate**, and then click **Close**.
