# Deleting Partners

Removing a partner from an opportunity or account removes the partner's relationship with the opportunity or account, but does not delete the account.

Note If you change the account for an opportunity that has partners, all partners are deleted from the Partners related list.

To remove a partner relationship from an opportunity or account, click **Del** next to the partner’s name.

                  partner is removed from both the opportunity <em>and</em> the account.</p>

                  partner is associated with multiple opportunities for an account, the partner
                  is removed from that opportunity <em>only</em>. The partner remains associated
                  with other opportunities <em>and</em> with the account. </p>
