Before you enable Experience Cloud site members for your enablement site, review the [impacts of some key decisions for your implementation](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sales.mth_community_user_experience_on_mth.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Before you enable Experience Cloud site members for your enablement site, review the impacts of some key decisions on your implementation. Evaluate how connecting your enablement site to an Experience Cloud site and how your authentication provider affect the user experience for Experience Cloud site members.").

1. If your enablement site’s authentication provider is Salesforce Identity for Enablement, set up a connected app for authenticating Experience Cloud site members into your enablement site. Complete the steps in [Configure Salesforce Identity for Enablement](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sales.mth_configure_mytrailhead_identity.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "To set up Salesforce Identity for Enablement for your enablement site, first create a connected app in Salesforce. The connected app handles data sharing between your enablement site and Salesforce using OpenID Connect and OAuth 2.0—protocols that authenticate users and authorize access to data in your org. Finally, enter your connected app details on your enablement site.").

Important For the connected app’s login URL, use your Experience Cloud site URL.
2. Determine which content your Experience Cloud site members can access. Create content collections and permission sets that grant access to specific content. Complete the steps in [Allow Learners to Access Enablement Site Content Collections](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sales.mth_content_permissions.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Ensure that learners can access only the trails and modules that are relevant to their disciplines or job requirements. Create content collections for your different audiences, and then use permission sets to enable access to specific content collections. Only learners with permission to access a particular content collection can view and complete the trails and modules included in the collection.").
3. To run reports that include site members and their activity, [install the Trail Tracker app](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sales.mth_install_trail_tracker_app.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Trail Tracker is a free app for assigning and reporting on content for your learners. The app, which is a managed package and not part of your enablement site, adds capabilities for assigning trailmixes, setting deadlines, tracking completion progress, and customizing assignment notifications. The app also provides reports and dashboards to help you get started.").
4. Link to enablement site content from your Experience Cloud site. See [Considerations for Connecting Your Enablement Site to an Experience Cloud Site](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sales.mth_community_user_experience_on_mth.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Before you enable Experience Cloud site members for your enablement site, review the impacts of some key decisions on your implementation. Evaluate how connecting your enablement site to an Experience Cloud site and how your authentication provider affect the user experience for Experience Cloud site members.").
