How does switching your authentication provider affect the login and navigation experience for your enablement site’s users?

- Because of caching, it can take up to an hour for Salesforce Identity for Enablement to become effective on your enablement site.
- Until the cache clears, the TBID experience remains effective. For learners that earned points and badges from both Trailhead content and enablement site content, their profile continues to reflect activity from both platforms.
- After the cache clears and Salesforce Identity for Enablement becomes effective, the profile page is no longer available for a learner who’s logged in to your enablement site. Earned points remain associated with the learner’s account, but they don’t appear on the enablement site. The next time the learner logs in to Trailhead, their Trailhead profile reflects only the points and badges that they earned from Trailhead content.
- If a learner is using the Trailhead GO mobile app when the switch to Salesforce Identity for Enablement becomes effective, the learner can notice issues with the org picker in the app.

    | Operating System | User Context | Org Picker Behavior after the Switch Occurs |
    | --- | --- | --- |
    | iOS | Logged in with TBID credentials and viewing an enablement site | Shows redundant entries for the Trailhead domain |
    | Android™ | Logged in with TBID credentials and viewing Trailhead | Shows an entry for the enablement site, but prompts the user to log out when they select it |

1. Complete the steps in [Configure Salesforce Identity for Enablement](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sales.mth_configure_mytrailhead_identity.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "To set up Salesforce Identity for Enablement for your enablement site, first create a connected app in Salesforce. The connected app handles data sharing between your enablement site and Salesforce using OpenID Connect and OAuth 2.0—protocols that authenticate users and authorize access to data in your org. Finally, enter your connected app details on your enablement site.") for creating a connected app in Salesforce that handles data sharing between your enablement site and your org.

Important Stop when you reach step [9](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sales.mth_configure_mytrailhead_identity.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5) in [Configure Salesforce Identity for Enablement](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sales.mth_configure_mytrailhead_identity.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "To set up Salesforce Identity for Enablement for your enablement site, first create a connected app in Salesforce. The connected app handles data sharing between your enablement site and Salesforce using OpenID Connect and OAuth 2.0—protocols that authenticate users and authorize access to data in your org. Finally, enter your connected app details on your enablement site."). If you’ve already set up TBID for your enablement site, the Identity Setup page for Salesforce Identity for Enablement isn’t available.
2. Access the Salesforce Customer Support page.
    1. Log in to the Trailblazer Community.
    2. From the Community tab, select **Salesforce Help**.
    3. From [Salesforce Help](https://help.salesforce.com/home), click the **Contact Support** tab.
3. Create a case.
    1. On the Salesforce Customer Support page, click **Create a Case**.
    2. Select **Product or Technical Support**.
    3. For Product, select **Other Salesforce**.
    4. For Topic, select **myTrailhead**, and then click **Next**.
    5. Enter your org ID, and then select **Production** for Instance Type.
    6. In the Details section, include this information.

        - Specify that you want to request to change your enablement site’s authentication provider from TBID to Salesforce Identity for Enablement.
        - Include the URL for your enablement site’s login page.

The login page URL isn’t the same as the callback URL that you created for your connected app. Your login page URL depends on whether your enablement site supports internal users from your Salesforce org or external users who are Experience Cloud site members.

        | Enablement Site Audience | URL to Enter |
        | --- | --- |
        | Internal users | Your Salesforce My Domain login URL, such as https://purealoe.my.salesforce.com. |
        | External users | Your Experience Cloud site URL, such as https://fixcoffee.com/community. |
    7. Complete the remaining fields, and then click **Create Case**.

When your case is processed, a support agent asks for your permission to log in to your org. Then, they update the appropriate settings with your connected app’s Consumer Key and Consumer Secret.
