Feature is scheduled for retirement as of Summer'26. See [Sales Planning version 1 Retirement](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=005224374&type=1&language=en_US)

1. Open your sales plan, and then click **Edit Plan** | **Assignment**.
2. If you haven’t yet added boundaries, click **Add** next to Boundaries and select the countries and boundaries that best align with your goals. Then click **Add**.

![Option to add boundaries by country](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-sales-sales_performance_management-264-0-0-production-enus/b1f2feb4-26b8-444f-97f7-be2349869d93/sales_performance_management/images/sales_planning_assignment_boundaries_1.png)

The number of boundaries you select in the next step can impact performance. If you plan to include more than 10 boundaries, test thoroughly for performance issues. For the best performance, select fewer than 10 boundaries.
3. Select the boundaries that you want to assign, and then click **Assign**.

    The assignment panel appears.

4. Select at least one node. If you select multiple nodes, specify the method and priority for assigning records.
5. Preview the assignments, and then click **Apply**.

Sales Planning assigns boundaries and the records within them to your reps.
