# Sales Prospecting Bot Requirements

Before you get started with the Sales Prospecting Bot template, confirm that you meet these requirements.

### Required Editions

Sales Engagement is also available for an extra cost in Service and Lightning Platform.</td></tr></tbody></table>

1. Obtain a Chat or Messaging license. Then enable [Chat](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.live_agent_enable.htm&type=5&language=en_US) and [Omni-Channel](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.omnichannel_enable.htm&type=5&language=en_US).
2. [Add the Omni-Channel widget](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.service_presence_add_presence_widget_to_console.htm&type=5&language=en_US) to the Sales Engagement console app.
3. [Create an Experience Cloud site](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=experience.networks_creating.htm&type=5&language=en_US) for your bot.
4. [Enable Lightning Knowledge](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.knowledge_lightning_enable.htm&type=5&language=en_US) if you want your bot to serve knowledge articles to customers.
    1. To do more than read knowledge articles, your sales reps need a Knowledge User license. [Assign permissions](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=service.knowledge_setup_users_lex.htm&type=5&language=en_US) to users who publish, archive, delete, and manage articles.
