# Define Data Model Relationships for Your Forecast

To determine what to show as rows and columns in a consumption forecast type, identify the data model relationships that you defined in Data 360. Define the parent-child relationships between data model objects (DMOs) and identify their lookup fields. Defining these relationships and their lookup fields ensures that your forecast rolls up accurately.

### Required Editions

<table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small edition"><colgroup><col></colgroup><tbody><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: Lightning Experience</td></tr><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: <strong>Enterprise</strong>, <strong>Unlimited</strong> with Sales, and in <strong>Agentforce 1 Sales Edition</strong></td></tr></tbody></table>

Identify the DMOs that represent your business dimensions, like accounts and products. Identify the DMO that contains your measure data, like actual or predicted revenue. Indicate which DMO stores the record ownership data you want to show.

For example, to forecast consumption for your computing storage business, set the parent-child relationships between DMOs as specified in this table.

| UI Field | Value | Select the field that contains... |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Parent DMO | Account DMO | The parent object in the hierarchy. An account can have multiple products or services. |
| Child DMO | StorageService | The service whose usage you want to forecast. This is the child of the Account DMO. |
| Parent Lookup Field | Account\_Lookup | Foreign key that establishes the relationship between the StorageService DMO and the Account DMO. |
| Measure DMO | StorageUsage | Contains the daily usage data and metrics for the StorageService DMO. |
| Child Lookup Field | StorageService\_Lookup | Foreign key that establishes the relationship between the StorageUsage DMO and the StorageService DMO. |
| Record Ownership DMO | Account DMO | The object that needs to be considered for record ownership and filtering the right data for that user. |
| Record Ownership Field | Account\_ownerid | The field on the object where user ID of the record owner is stored. |
