To attach a file to every email that uses an email template in Salesforce Classic, add the attachment to the template. Attachments in mass emails are sent as links rather than as files.

1. Do one of the following to access email templates.
    - If you have permission to edit public templates, from Setup, enter Email Templates in the Quick Find box, then select **Classic Email Templates**.
    - If you don’t have permission to edit public templates, go to your personal settings. Enter Templates in the Quick Find box, then select **Email Templates** or **My Templates**—whichever one appears.
2. Select a template.
3. Click **Attach File** from the email template page.
4. Select the location of the file.
    - If the file is on your computer, select **My Computer**, choose the file, and click **Attach File**. Select and attach more files, as needed, then click **Done**.
    - If the file is in Salesforce, select whether it’s in your personal documents or is a shared document, and click **Search in Documents**. Select the file.
5. Send a test email to verify that the email includes the attachment and that it appears as you intend it to.

The Attachments section on the email template page includes the list of files attached to the template. You can edit, delete, or view each attachment, as needed.
