# Connect Claude to the Salesforce MCP (Beta)

With the MCP Server active and your External Client App configured, connect Claude to your org to finish setup.

### Required Editions

Note Salesforce in Claude is a pilot or beta service that is subject to the Beta Services Terms at [Agreements - Salesforce.com](https://www.salesforce.com/company/legal/agreements/) or a written Unified Pilot Agreement if executed by Customer, and applicable terms in the [Product Terms Directory](https://ptd.salesforce.com/). Use of this pilot or beta service is at the Customer's sole discretion.

1. In Claude, go to **Organization Settings** > **Connectors**, and find **Salesforce - Beta**.
2. Enter the Consumer Key and Secret from your ECA to complete the connection.
3. In Claude, go to **Organization Settings**\>**Plugins**. Install the **Sales Cloud in Claude** plugin.
    
    This installs the plugin for you personally. To make it available to other users in your org, [roll out the plugin](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sales.roll_out_the_plugin.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Choose how the Sales Cloud in Claude plugin becomes available to your users.") separately.

Next, [set tool restrictions](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ai.set_tool_restrictions.htm&type=5&language=en_US) so skills can read your org’s data, and to configure whether users can create and update records.
