1. To determine who needs access to the inactive user’s activities, check with the inactive user’s manager.
2. If Sync Email as Salesforce Activity is turned on, use the [Data Loader](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.data_loader_about.htm&type=5&language=en_US) or [Mass Transfer Records](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.admin_transfer.htm&type=5&language=en_US) to transfer record ownership in bulk. See [Organization-Wide Default Access Settings](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.sharing_model_fields.htm&type=55&language=en_US).
3. If Sync Email as Salesforce Activity isn’t enabled, take action based on your target access level:
    - Select users only:

        a) Create a private Chatter group and [enable email and event sharing](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sales.aac_set_up_a_group_for_sharing.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "The group’s owner or manager can enable email and event sharing for private and unlisted Chatter groups. Then, Einstein Activity Capture users within the group can share their emails and events with all group members."). Add everyone to the group who needs access to the inactive user’s email and events. If the option to enable email and event sharing isn’t available, [add it to the group layout](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sales.aac_set_default_activity_sharing.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Use activity sharing rules to manage how users see and share captured event data. If Sync Email as Salesforce Activity is turned on, activity sharing rules also control the visibility of captured email data. If captured email isn’t synced as activity data, use Einstein Activity Capture settings to manage data sharing.").

        b) Log in as the inactive user and go to their Einstein Activity Capture sharing settings. Change the sharing settings so that email and events are shared with the Chatter group you created.

        c) Go to individual activities in the activity timeline. Manually change email and events so that they’re shared with the Chatter group you created.
    - All users:

        a) Log in as the inactive user and go to their Einstein Activity Capture sharing settings. Change the sharing settings so that email and events are shared with everyone.

        b) Go to individual activities in the activity timeline. Manually change email and events so that they’re shared with everyone.
