Note We’re reorganizing the Einstein Activity Capture documentation. We’re moving some information around, but we aren’t deleting anything.

The Einstein Activity Capture configuration settings control which data is captured from your connected account. Salesforce admins manage these settings and can learn about customization options in [Set Up Einstein Activity Capture for Your Team](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sales.aac_setup_parent.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Get your sales reps up and running with Einstein Activity Capture. Give users access to Einstein Activity Capture. Connect your company’s email and calendar application to Salesforce, and create a configuration that controls how data moves between applications. Define settings such as which data to exclude and how activities are shared. When you’re done configuring Einstein Activity Capture, your users have some setup to do, too."). To learn how to use your captured data in Salesforce, read [Automate Your Workflow with Einstein Activity Capture](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sales.aac_use_eac.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Einstein Activity Capture reduces manual data entry and provides a complete view of your relationship history. Connect your Microsoft or Google account to Salesforce to capture emails and calendar events and relate them to your sales records automatically. Manage your privacy settings to control how activity data appears to teammates while ensuring customer interactions remain current.").

- **[How Private Events Sync with Einstein Activity Capture](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sales.aac_event_sync_private_events.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
When a Salesforce admin selects to sync private events in an Einstein Activity Capture configuration, events that reps mark as private can sync between Salesforce and your Microsoft or Google calendar. When a private event syncs, it’s marked as private in both calendar applications. However, some situations aren’t supported for private events, such as attendee sync and automatically relating contacts or leads.
