Data Detect helps you identify sensitive data in large batches across Data Lake Objects (DLOs), automatically targeting all text fields when you select a DLO. A single scan policy supports up to 100 DLOs across multiple data spaces, giving you a consolidated view of sensitive data exposure. # Scan Data 360 for Sensitive Data with Data Detect

Protect sensitive information across your data platform with Data Detect scanning for Data 360. Data Detect helps you identify sensitive data in large batches across Data Lake Objects (DLOs), automatically targeting all text fields when you select a DLO. A single scan policy supports up to 100 DLOs across multiple data spaces, giving you a consolidated view of sensitive data exposure. Data Detect usage with Data 360 consumes credits in the Data Queries usage type. You can resume Data 360 scans after they've stopped.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions. This feature requires the Salesforce Shield add-on subscription or the Data Detect add-on license, and Data 360 licenses (Data Cloud Provisioning, Data Spaces, Storage Beyond Allocation).

**How:** With Data 360 provisioned and DLOs populated with records, create a scan policy in Data Detect and select the DLOs you want to scan. Data Detect scans all text fields in each selected DLO and displays aggregate results.
