# Get Permissions Metrics in Security Center Essentials

Security Center Essentials has several new Permissions metrics. Use them to enhance your organization's security posture and ensure that users have appropriate system access.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in all editions.

**When:** This feature is available in mid-September 2026.

**Who:** Security Center Essentials is available to customers at no additional cost. Licensed Security Center customers continue to use the full-featured, multitenant version. If your org upgrades from Security Center Essentials to the full version of Security Center, all historical metrics data is transferred. To view Security Center Essentials, users need the View Security Center Pages permission.Available to users with the View Security Center Pages system permission.

**How:** From the App Launcher, select Security Center. Security Center Essentials appears. Expand the Permissions metrics list:

- Author Apex
- Customize Application
- Export Reports
- Modify All Data
- Modify Metadata Through Metadata API Functions
- View All Data
- Weekly Data Export
