# Backup and Recover Next

Find and recover backup data with more control. Search backup history for specific records, download metadata for use with your deployment tools, and reload child objects that fail when previewing a restore. These updates help you locate the data you need and address incomplete results without restarting your work.

- **[Find Specific Records Across Your Backup History](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_security_bar_search.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Search backup data for records that contain a keyword or a phrase. Narrow your search by object, backup date range, or field condition. Each result identifies a version of the record and shows the backup dates when that version was found, so you can locate relevant data.
- **[Reload Failed Child Objects Before Running a Restore](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_security_bar_reload_objects.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
When you run a restore that includes child objects, some objects can fail to load. Reload failed child objects without restarting the restore activity, and include them before you run the restore. Previously, objects that failed to load were excluded from the restore.
- **[Protect Customer Data Throughout Your Backup History with Data Privacy Requests](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_security_bar_data_privacy.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Anonymize or correct personally identifiable information across every backed-up instance of a customer record in Backup & Recover Next. Create a single request for a record instead of finding and changing each historical instance separately. Apply your company’s privacy policies consistently to backed-up data while supporting right-to-be-forgotten and right-to-rectification requests.
