Access Salesforce Context Without Leaving Claude (Beta)

Get deal health, pipeline risk, and account context surfaced directly in your Claude conversation, backed by your org's live Salesforce data. A secure Salesforce MCP (Model Context Protocol) connection and pre-built skills put these insights a request away, so there's no separate integration to build. This beta is read only at launch. Claude surfaces Salesforce data and insights.

Where: This change applies to Salesforce data accessed through Claude from Lightning Experience, Salesforce Classic, and the Salesforce mobile app, in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions. Requires Claude Enterprise.

Note
Note Salesforce in Claude is a pilot or beta service that is subject to the Beta Services Terms at Agreements - Salesforce.com or a written Unified Pilot Agreement if executed by Customer, and applicable terms in the Product Terms Directory. Use of this pilot or beta service is at the Customer's sole discretion.

When: This functionality begins rolling out on September 15, 2026.

Why: Salesforce in Claude changes where and how reps get sales work done.

  • Instead of pulling reports or switching to Salesforce, reps check deal health, pipeline risk, and account context without leaving their Claude conversations.
  • Deal signals, including slipping dates, new risks, and conversations gone quiet, surface automatically. No need to wait for a rep to notice or a manager to ask in a pipeline review.
  • Pre-built skills, slash-command prompts that automatically pull the right data and take the right action, cover pipeline briefings, deal signals, account management, prospecting, meeting prep, and more, and work out of the box with no setup required.
  • Admins connect and authenticate Salesforce once; existing profile-based permissions carry over unchanged, so there's no separate access system to build or audit.
  • Because the integration and skills are pre-built and maintained on Salesforce's side, customers don't need to assemble, test, or maintain a custom build themselves.

How: An admin turns on the Headless360 (H360) MCP Server in Setup and sets up an External Client App to connect Claude to your org. By default, the feature is available to everyone in the org, though admins can create a permission set to limit access to specific users. In Claude, the admin connects the Salesforce - Beta connector under Organization Settings > Connectors by using the Consumer Key and Secret from that app. Then the admin installs the Salesforce for Sales plugin from Organization Settings > Plugins, either by default for everyone in the beta, as a self-service install, or scoped to specific user groups.

Each user connects their own account by typing /mcp in Claude, selecting the Salesforce connector, and signing in with their Salesforce credentials.

Getting started doesn't require any additional approval. Customers agree to the beta terms and activate access directly.

  • Create and Update Records in Salesforce in Claude (Beta)
With Salesforce in Claude, you can now create and update Salesforce records directly from Claude with the same field-level validation rules enforced in Lightning Experience. Previously, all Salesforce in Claude activity was read-only or created drafts for manual review.
