Protect Margins by Routing Discount Approvals on Quotes with an AI Agent (Beta)

Use an AI agent to build a discount-approval process on quotes in Revenue Management with Advanced Approvals so every deal gets the right sign-off before it closes. The agent routes deals by discount size, escalates the largest discounts to a second approver, and auto-approves deals within policy. Before any submission, the agent previews routing at several discount levels so you can confirm that each deal reaches the right approver.

Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience in Revenue Management, formerly Revenue Cloud, with the Revenue Cloud Advanced license.

Who: To build and deploy the approval flow, you need the View Setup and Configuration and Customize Application permissions, along with the Advanced Approvals permission sets.

How: With your org authenticated to Salesforce CLI and no approval flows yet in place, describe your discount rules to an AI agent in plain language. The agent reads your Advanced Approvals state and builds an auto-launched flow approval process. The flow also includes a Smart Approvals rule that auto-approves within-policy deals and skips the work item. For exceptions, an Override Approval Work Item action runs only when the work item's status is Assigned.
