# Prevent Double-Discounting and Speed Up Checkout by Controlling Promotion Stacking

Keep promotions from stacking on top of manual price corrections so associates apply a total price with less math and fewer mistakes. Simpler pricing shortens associate training and moves customers through checkout faster during peak periods. Stores that prefer to combine both discounts can keep the current stacking behavior instead.

**Where:** This change applies to Point of Sale.

**How:** In CMS, go to **Store Management | Store Settings | Promotion**. Turn on **Exclude Price-Corrected Items from Promotions**.
