# Manage the Sales Data Kit Independently

The sales data kit is now an optional, on-demand component in Marketing Cloud Next setup. Previously bundled with required marketing data kits, it has its own dedicated section so you can choose if and when to deploy it. You can also manage its updates independently from your other data kits.

**Where:** This change applies to Salesforce Enterprise and Unlimited editions with:

- Marketing Cloud Next Growth and Advanced editions with the Salesforce Foundations add-on
- Marketing Cloud Account Engagement Growth, Plus, Advanced, or Premium editions with the Salesforce Foundations add-on
- Any Marketing Cloud Engagement+ edition with the Salesforce Foundations add-on

**When:** This functionality is available on a rolling basis starting in August 2026.

**How:** From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Marketing Cloud and select **Basic Settings**. In the sales data kit section, you can deploy the data kit as needed, check its status, or apply updates when available.
