# Reach WhatsApp Recipients with Usernames via Business-Scoped User IDs

Maintain contact continuity with WhatsApp users when they hide their phone numbers with usernames. Import contacts with Business-scoped User IDs (BSUIDs), send outbound messages when phone numbers aren't available, and track message engagement across both identifiers. Marketing Cloud supports Meta's BSUID, which identifies users who enable username privacy.

**Where:** This change applies to Salesforce Enterprise and Unlimited editions with:

- Marketing Cloud Next Advanced edition with the Salesforce Foundations add-on
- Marketing Cloud Account Engagement Plus, Advanced, or Premium editions with the Salesforce Foundations add-on
- Any Marketing Cloud Engagement+ edition with the Salesforce Foundations add-on
