Do More with RCS Messaging in Marketing Cloud Next

Marketers can now build interactive mobile experiences, manage RCS campaigns directly from the Campaign tab, control business unit access, and track the performance of the Send RCS Message flow element in Flow Builder.

Where: This change applies to Salesforce Enterprise and Unlimited editions with:

  • Marketing Cloud Next Growth and Advanced editions with the Salesforce Foundations and RCS add-ons
  • Marketing Cloud Account Engagement Growth, Plus, Advanced, or Premium editions with the Salesforce Foundations and RCS add-ons
  • Any Marketing Cloud Engagement+ edition with the Salesforce Foundations and RCS add-ons

Why: RCS messaging includes these enhancements.

  • Send multi-card carousels featuring up to 10 swipeable cards with distinct images, descriptions, and personalized actions and suggestions.
  • Add view location, share location, and calendar event action buttons to your RCS messages so customers can easily navigate, share their location, or save events.
  • Assign RCS preference pages, communication subscriptions, and data spaces to specific business units while sharing a single RCS agent.
  • Create, activate, test, and manage RCS campaigns directly in the Campaign tab alongside your other messaging channels.
  • Track real-time Send RCS Message flow element metrics, including total runs and average duration, along with engagement metrics, such as RCS reads, response rate, failed deliveries, and opt-out rate.
  • Reach customers with RCS messaging in more countries, including Canada, Colombia, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Peru, Poland, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, and Ukraine.
  • Send time-sensitive RCS messages, such as one-time passwords and order confirmations, by triggering an On-Demand Flow via a REST API.
  • Get conversational billing for RCS messages in supported countries other than the US. Messages that you exchange with a customer within 24 hours are billed as one conversation.
