# Track Link Engagement with UTM and Custom Link Parameters

To measure how audiences engage across messaging channels, automate your link tagging, eliminating the need to add and maintain link parameters manually for every link. Apply standard UTM (Urchin Tracking Module) parameters for all links used in a business unit, content record, or individual link. Add a fallback value to each parameter so links stay tagged even when an editor doesn't add specific parameters.

**Where:** This change applies to Salesforce Enterprise and Unlimited editions with:

- Marketing Cloud Next Growth and Advanced editions with the Salesforce Foundations add-on
- Marketing Cloud Account Engagement Growth, Plus, Advanced, or Premium editions with the Salesforce Foundations add-on
- Any Marketing Cloud Engagement+ edition with the Salesforce Foundations add-on

**How:**

Configure parameters in the **Web Tracking** section of Marketing Setup. Enter values for standard UTM parameters or create custom parameters. To set parameters for a specific business unit, use the **Manage Link Parameters** section on the business unit record page.
