# Reauthenticate Using MFA for Security Tasks

Some critical actions, such as changing security settings for an account, require Marketing Admins to reauthenticate. This change doesn’t apply to orgs that use single sign-on.

**Where:** This change applies to all Marketing Cloud Engagement editions.

**When:** Step-up authentication was enforced beginning on July 30, 2026.
