# Other Changes in Marketing Cloud Engagement

Learn about other changes we made in Winter ’27.

## Support Is Being Retired for Some Security Ciphers

Salesforce is committed to protecting your data. We regularly review and improve our security practices to align with industry standards. Beginning with the Summer ’26 release, we retired support for some TLS cipher suites. When you interact with Marketing Cloud Engagement using a browser or by making API calls, make sure that you use a modern TLS implementation and cipher suite.

For the best security, use TLS 1.3 or later and implement a cipher suite that uses the SHA-256 or SHA-384 hash functions. The TLS version that you use determines which cipher suites you can use. To learn more about the TLS versions that your accounts support, contact your Account Executive.

- **[Provision and Secure Proxied Custom Domains for Your Sender Authentication Package](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_mce_provision_secure_proxied_custom_domains_sender.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Set up and protect custom domains for your Sender Authentication Package (SAP) that go through a proxy rather than routing directly to Marketing Cloud Engagement. When you configure a proxy for domains hosted by Marketing Cloud Engagement, end-to-end connectivity and security are verified automatically so you can manage domains without manual checks.
- **[Prevent Import API Jobs from Importing Stale Data](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_mce_import_maxfileagehours.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Use the `maxFileAgeHours` parameter in the Data Import API operation to prevent files from being imported if they weren’t created or modified within a specified period. When a developer includes this parameter in a request, Marketing Cloud Engagement checks the modified date of the file. If the difference between the modified date and current system time exceeds the maximum number of hours, the import doesn’t run. The system normalizes timestamps so that different time zones don’t impact the file age calculation.
- **[Prepare for the Retirement of Emotional Tone Insights](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_marketing_emotional_tone_widget.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
The Emotional Tone Insights widget on the Einstein Copy Insights dashboard retires in late September/early October 2026. This widget offers limited insight value, so it's retiring to keep the dashboard focused on more impactful data. There's no replacement widget for Emotional Tone Insights, and you don't need to take any action.
