Journey Builder and Automation Studio

Automation Studio activities now process filename replacement tokens regardless of letter case. Journey Builder can deduplicate email addresses to stop redundant sends, and the Journey Notifications dashboard provides a consolidated view of issues and warnings to streamline troubleshooting.

  • Prevent Filename Errors with Case-Insensitive Date and Time Tokens in Automation Studio
Data Extract and File Transfer activities now recognize replacement tokens in filename patterns regardless of letter case. Whether you use %%Year%%, %%year%%, or %%YEAR%%, the token resolves correctly instead of appearing as literal text in the filename. This change brings Data Extract and File Transfer in line with Import and Export activities, which already support case-insensitive tokens, and prevents file generation and matching errors.
  • Troubleshoot Decision Splits with More Data
The Journey Health dashboard now offers detailed logging for decision split elements, including detailed contact data. This feature enables faster, more effective debugging of path routing and contact journeys.
  • Avoid Duplicate Email Sends in Journey Builder
Prevent unnecessary sends by deduplicating email addresses in journeys. If your entry source data extension contains multiple contact keys with the same email address, deduplication ensures that each recipient receives only one copy of the email from each email activity in a journey within the specified lookback period.
  • Identify Journey Issues on a Consolidated Dashboard
View issues, warnings, and other information related to your journeys in one place with the Journey Notifications dashboard. Each notification flags the affected journey and the issue type. Use this information to prioritize fixes and reduce time spent identifying issues.
