Field users can now use Twilio to conduct remote sessions with healthcare professionals (HCPs) from their desktop without relying on external video tools. The remote session stays within the context of the visit so that sales reps can capture presentation metrics, device data, and consent or product signatures for each participant. HCPs join remote sessions by using a secure link on any device without installing an app. Previously, remote engagement with Twilio was available only in the Life Sciences Cloud mobile app.
Where: This feature is available in Lightning Experience in Enterprise and Unlimited editions with the Life Sciences Cloud license and the Life Sciences Cloud for Customer Engagement add-on license, and where the Life Sciences Cloud for Customer Engagement managed package is installed.
When: This feature is available starting the week of October 5, 2026.
Why: Now, on the desktop site, your field users can:
- Manage attendees, view online and offline status, mute individuals or all participants, and invite offline participants to join so that sessions run smoothly.
- Control audio and video settings to maintain call quality.
- Share only approved presentations with drawing tools and a laser pointer to keep discussions focused and compliant.
- Request signatures for consent, products, and samples during the call to complete required documentation digitally.
- Toggle between the visit and the remote player without ending the call to update visit details mid-session.
- Send presentations via approved email templates for compliant follow-up after the discussion.
- Track content engagement per attendee to understand which materials resonate.
